Rugby in New Zealand

In New Zealand, the most famous sport is rugby. Rugby is known as a national sport in New Zealand. And we can watch very exciting game all the year round. All New Zealand people are taking pleasure to watch rugby game. They really love rugby.

There are a lot of rugby teams in New Zealand. The most famous team is All Blacks. All Blacks is New Zealand’s representation team. All Blacks is known as the number one team in the world. All Blacks player always do traditional the Maori’s dance of going to fight before the game. It calls Haka.

I think rugby is not famous in Japan. The most popular Japanese rugby is the nonprofessional rugby league sponsored by corporations. And high school rugby and university rugby are popular too.

I’m going to talk about La Tomatina’s origin. This festival started from 1945. There are a variety of views about La tomatina’s origin.

I would you like to tell the most famous La tomatina’s origin. The end of August in 1945, a man began a fight with other man in the town festival parade. And the man threw a tomato from nearby vegetable store. Another man threw tomato back. A police officer stopped them, but they fought and threw tomato again at same place next year. Throwing tomato duel was carried out every year from this happening. And this event became town festival. But the festival was banned by police in 1951 because it became excessive and dangerous. A lot of people hoped the festival revival. At last La Tomatina was revived by Bunol City. This was La Tomatina’s beginning. And now, this festival is loved by many people.

La Tomatina is a festival which people throw a tomato at each other. It’s held Bunol in Spain. This festival started from 1945. There are various kinds of tomatina’s origin.

School Of Rock

I’d like to talk about my favorite movie. My best movie I have ever seen is “School Of Rock”. This movie was made by Richard Linklater in October 3, 2003 (In Japan, April 29, 2004). This movie is American movie, and genre is a comedy.

This movie is a rock musician smuggle himself into an elite elementary school as an imitation teacher. And he don’t teach study, teach rock music. He make band in his class, and they take part in Band Battle.

The main actor in the movie is Jack Black. He plays Dewey Finn. Dewey was a rock musician. But he became imitation teacher because he didn’t have job and money. He make band in elite elementary school. This band name is “School Of Rock”. And he plays the guitar and vocal in this band. His band has various kinds of children.

He plays Zack. Zack is superior child in his class. And he was good classical guitarist in lesson. But in his class’s band, he is the lead guitar player.

He plays Freddy. Freddy is the worst rascal in his class. And he was a cymbalist in lesson. But in his class’s band, he is the drummer.

She plays Katie. Katie is well-behaved girl. And she likes music very much. She was a cello player in lesson. But in her class’s band, she is the bass player.

He plays Lawrence. Lawrence is the most talented student　in　his　class. He was a pianist in lesson. But in his class’s band, he is the keyboard player.

She plays Summer. Summer is a serious student, and she is leader in her class. She is a class representative and her band’s manager.
This band has more members. For example choral singing, clothes team, tools and
materials team, secret operation team and so on.

My Summer Vacation

I spent very nice summer vacation. I did various things in summer vacation.

In August 7th, I went camping at Kurohime in Nagano for four days. A lot of children came from all parts of Japan. I went this camp as a leader. I did many things in this camp. For example, walk rally, campfire, the game of “split-the-watermelon”, field day, exploration and so on. I think campfire was the most interesting thing. Everyone sung camp song very loud voice. It was very exciting for me. And I became good friends with many many little kids. They are very lively and very cute. The children had taken to me quite well. When final day, I was lonely say good-bye to the children. This camp was very short time. But this camp was very good experience for me. A few days later, I got a lot of letter from the children. I’m very happy to see these letters. But I still haven’t written a reply to letter from them. I have to write reply soon.

In summer vacation, I played softball many times as a club activity. We played softball under a blazing sun, in a downpour, in a thunder. We always played for about 5 hours!! I was so tired because it was very hard for me. But I enjoyed playing softball with my teammate. In September 12th, we played a game Daido Industry university. This is the first game for first year student. I took part in a game as the fifth batter and the third baseman. Although our team members were all first year students, we won the game by a score of 18 to 4. I had three hits in six times at bat. I drove in two runs, and I compiled a .500 batting average. I was glad to energetic in the game. There is the next game on October 11th. I have to practice more hard because I want to have more hit.

My summer vacation is very wonderful. I’m looking forward to getting winter vacation and spring vacation. Now I study very hard, I want to spend good vacation.

Hello, everyone! I’m going to talk about Pocari Sweat. Pocari Sweat is the most famous sports drink in Japan. According to Wikipedia, It was made by Otuka Pharmaceutical Company in 1980. It is good for our health. It has seven varieties of ion good for our bodies and it has only 27 calories per a can!!

I recommend that you drink Pocari Sweat when you played sports and were tired because you can take in water and the ion which I lost by sweat immediately. Everyone please drinks Pocari Sweat when you play sports or you go out of the bath.

Kentucky Fried Chicken

Hello, everyone!
I’m going to talk about Kentucky Fried Chicken. Have you ever eaten Kentucky Fried Chicken? KFC was made by Colonel Sanders. It is the most famous fried chicken restaurant, I think. But it is said KFC’s fried chicken has a lot of oil. Especially it has many trans fat. Trans fat is not good for our health. It causes a cancer. And KFC’s fried chicken has a lot of calories. KFC’s “Original Chicken Dinner” set has 1160 calories!! It is too many for our health.

I like KFC’s fried chicken, but I think eating too much is not good for us. We will be more careful in the future.

Birthday

Hello!! Today is July 5th. It's my birthday! I reached my 19th birthday.
After club activities, I went karaoke as my birthday party with my softball club friends. We were singing until morning. It was really fun! They gave a nurse costume and message card as a present to me. And I received "Happy Birthday!" e-mail from my classmates. I was very very very happy!!! I was glad to meet them in NUFS.
